Digital English’s Lonely Girl Riddim, Vol. 3 arrived in 2024 as an eight-song reggae set with eight different vocal cuts and no filler around the core idea. Fitzie Niceness opens with It Was’nt My Intention, while Trevor Martin’s Never Going To Give You Up, Wayne Paul’s I Cried, and Vernie’s It’s Raining help give the collection a familiar roots-and-lovers feel. Lin Strong, Ruth Brown, Kiing Chazbo, and Magano round out the lineup, with Black Kings and Queens adding a nice conscious touch. The project follows Digital English’s run of cleanly assembled riddims and keeps the focus on compact sequencing and varied voices rather than long run times.
