Lion King Riddim – Geez Music 2019

Lion King Riddim keeps it lean: just two cuts, and both lean hard into that clipped, no-nonsense dancehall pulse Geez Musiz was pushing in 2019. Deno Gee’s “Born Bad” feels like the rougher, darker side of the riddim, while Teknique’s “Lion King” rides the same frame with a sharper swagger, which is exactly the kind of contrast that makes a small one-riddim set worth a second listen. Geez Music doesn’t crowd the space; the production leaves room for the vocals to snap against the beat, and at barely five minutes total, it moves like a quick studio idea that knew when to stop. A compact little drop from May 31, 2019, and that’s part of the charm.
