Lavway Riddim 2009
Lavway Overview
The Lavway Riddim is a lively soca release that brought the spirit of Carnival 2021 to life. This island party cut stands out because it mixes classic soca energy with modern sounds. The blend of old and new styles makes it fresh and exciting for fans of different genres. Nadia Batson’s “Yuh Really Wanna” is a highlight. Batson, well known for her hit “So Long,” brings her strong voice and catchy lyrics. She helps the riddim feel both fun and inviting. Olatunji adds his song “Phonetics.” He is famous for winning the International Soca Monarch Groovy title in 2015 with “Ola,” and he brings his unique style and energy to the mix. Patrice Roberts gives us “Wining Specialist.” Roberts is celebrated for her solo career and her hit “A Little Wine.” Her smooth delivery and confident presence add a lot to the riddim’s party mood. Super Jigga Tc’s “The Tribute” brings even more variety. His song honors the roots of soca while fitting perfectly with the modern production. The sound architect behind this project is Kernal Roberts, a well-known Trinidadian producer and songwriter. Roberts has won multiple Road March titles in Trinidad and Tobago, and his skillful use of horn riffs ties the whole riddim together. His production keeps the tracks smooth but energetic, blending the artists’ voices with lively instruments. Overall, this release captures the joy of Carnival and the excitement of a true island party.
