Krime Scene Riddim – Lee Milla Production

Krime Scene Riddim finds Lee Milla Production in a tighter, more stripped-back mode than some of the bigger ensemble dancehall projects the label would later push, leaving just two cuts to carry the whole thing. I-Octane’s “Dark and Dangerous” has the sharper edge here, with his clipped, streetwise delivery riding over a dark, militant instrumental, while Deizzle’s “Walk Up” keeps the pressure on with a more direct, confrontational stance that suits the riddim’s hard drum pattern and tense atmosphere. Released in January 2017, the set also turned up as a short digital release with an instrumental cut attached, which keeps the focus squarely on the rhythm itself.
