JAMAICA ROCK RIDDIM produced by MAXIMUM SOUND 2020
Jamaica Rock Overview
In 2020, some of reggae’s strongest voices came together for a special music project. Busy Signal, Christopher Martin, Cecile, Gappy Ranks, and Pressure were all part of it. Each artist brought their own unique style to the project. Busy Signal delivered the energetic track "Jamaica Jamaica." Christopher Martin’s smooth vocals shone on "Rock Me." Cecile’s song "Focus On Me" added a touch of soulful reggae. Gappy Ranks inspired listeners with "I Can," while Pressure shared powerful messages on "Earth Rightful." Other talented artists joined in too. Stevie Face sang "Child Of A King," The Kemist brought "Success," and Ginjah & Loyal Flames performed together on "Poison World." Gregory Morris rounded things out with "Rightful Dub," a track that highlights the rhythm’s roots. The person behind this project was MAXIMUM SOUND, a well-known producer and label in reggae and dancehall music. MAXIMUM SOUND, led by Frenchie (real name Pierre Bost), has worked with many top reggae artists for over two decades. The label is respected for its authentic sound and has produced several popular riddims that have been played around the world. This reggae rhythm project was more than just a collection of songs. It was a way to connect new voices with the classic reggae style. By bringing together artists from different backgrounds, the project showed how reggae music can stay fresh while honoring its roots. Today, this collection is remembered as an important chapter in reggae history, keeping the spirit of the genre alive for old and new fans alike.
