Jab Fete Riddim – Team Foxx

Team Foxx takes a harder jab-soca route here than the smoother carnival fare the crew has done at other points, and that suits the concept. Jab Fete Riddim is lean and percussive, with the kind of skittering drum pattern, rattling accents, and low-end push that keeps the tune locked in for roadwork rather than radio polish. The cut list is short but pointed: Big Red’s “How We Bad So” comes in with KC and Scout, Lavaman leans into the militant edge of “Jab Emancipation, ” and Skinny Fabulous teams with Caspa G on “Shut-Down, ” which gives the riddim its strongest vocal heat. Marzville and Fadda Fox add the looser, rum-soaked counterweight on “More Rum, ” while the instrumental closes things out cleanly at just under two minutes, keeping the tempo brisk and the chant-ready groove tight.
