By the time Ingenting Riddim surfaced in 2013, Slag Från Hjärtat and Ras Udo had already carved out a proper catalogue of Swedish-rooted reggae, and this one carried that same live-band feel through a rootsy, mid-tempo cut on Creazion Entertainment. The project folds in a wide spread of voices — Million Stylez on “Humbleness, ” Norrisman on “Smell Di Coffee, ” Junior Natural on “Mystics, ” plus Dani M and Moncho on “Så Lätt” — while the title tune keeps the center of gravity with its steady bassline, clean guitar chops, and horn accents. It plays like a showcase for the crew’s own musicianship as much as the guest vocals, with Ras Udo and the group’s singing front and center. The whole thing moves at an unhurried pace, around 96 BPM, which gives the riddim room to breathe and keeps the chant-style hooks sitting right on top of the groove.
