By the time Itations Records got to Ifficial, they’d already built a reputation for polished roots sets, and this 2010 juggling keeps that steady hand in place with ten cuts from Anthony B, Pressure Busspipe, Teflon, Delly Ranx, Bescenta, Monsoon and Kali Blaxx. The title track itself sits alongside Anthony B’s “Outta Road” and Delly Ranx’s “Rasta Nah Bow, ” and the whole thing feels rooted in clean, uplifted reggae rather than anything flashy, with the vocals doing most of the talking over a measured one-drop pulse. Monsoon’s “Jah” and Pressure’s “Watch Over My Soul” lean into that conscious lane, while the production keeps the arrangement uncluttered so each singer can ride the groove without crowding it. It’s the sort of riddim that lives on its bass line, a deep and even pocket with a crisp mid-tempo sway underneath.
