I Know Myself produced by Jo Jo Hookim for Yush! in 1978
Originally cut in 1978 and produced by Jo Jo Hookim for Yush! , I Know Myself Riddim links Ernest Wilson’s I Know Myself with Sly Dunbar’s A Who Say and later Sandeeno’s Good Over Evil. The rhythm comes out of the Channel One era and is closely tied to the classic sound Hookim helped shape there, with the Ernest Wilson cut also appearing on the well-known Hitbound set from that period. With just three tracks, it keeps the focus tight and highlights how the same foundation moved from late-70s roots work into a later Sandeeno rework.
