Hungry Man Riddim – Studio One, Fitzmar

Produced by Coxsone Dodd for Studio One and Fitzmar, Hungry Man dates to 1965 and sits right in the label’s early ska-to-rocksteady era. The original Deacons cut, Hungry Man, is the anchor here, while Anthony Red Rose and Daddy Lizard’s Goodas brings the riddim forward with a later 1994 take that keeps the old groove active across generations.
