Produced by Peckings in 2014, Hold On Riddim brings together a strong reggae lineup led by Delly Ranks, Lady Lex, Tarrus Riley, Peter Spence and Macka B, with Tarrus Riley’s Chocolate and the Baby Boom refix among the more memorable cuts. The set also includes Blaze Up De Fire, Certainly, Fake Friends, Love Devotion and Marijuana Card, giving the riddim a mix of conscious lyrics, lovers rock and rootsy dancehall energy. Peckings’ long-running London-based reggae operation gives the release its familiar steady hand, and the full project lands as a 17-track various-artist showcase built around the same warm, melodic groove.
