Haterz Riddim – D Pungalunks Factory Production

With just five cuts, Haterz Riddim keeps the focus tight: Hunter, Ravi B, Rikki Jai and Soca Elvis all take a swing at the same 2010 soca framework, and the cut that really catches the ear is Ravi B’s “Tek It, ” which sits nicely against the sharper, digital edge of D Pungalunks Factory’s production. The title version opens the set like a proper intro, then the vocals move from Hunter’s “For You” to Rikki Jai’s “Hypocrisy” and Soca Elvis’s “Makin Money, ” giving the riddim a compact but varied run through Trinidadian voices. It’s a short package, but the sequencing keeps it moving, and the final tracklist lands at five tracks with five unique artists.
