Good Heart Riddim has that warm, rootsy 2011 reggae pull, the kind of one-riddim set that leans more on feel than flash, with SMS Production keeping the groove steady across a surprisingly deep lineup. Droop Lion’s “Strength” brings the message front and center, while Natural Black’s “Never Say Never” adds a more reflective touch, and Esco Levi’s “King Of Kings” gives the project one of its sharper, more spiritual turns. There’s a nice spread here too, from Jah Be’s devotional “God Mi Love You” to Shane O’s wary “Mi No Trust Friend, ” so the riddim never gets stuck in one mood for too long.
