God Bless Riddim – Out And Bad Music

Phantom IMC leads the charge on God Bless Riddim, and his title cut has the kind of sharp, declarative energy that gives the whole Out And Bad Music set its edge. The production keeps things taut and streetwise, with a clipped dancehall swing that leaves room for G Blunt’s Hill Top and Breakege Di Ultimate’s Get The Break to cut through without crowding the riddim. There’s a nice contrast too: Phantom IMC sounds more urgent, while Tattwu Design’s 2000 vs 1990 leans into the nostalgia of the title and gives the project a quick flash of personality. Only five tracks in all, but it moves with the focus of a crew that knew exactly what pocket they wanted to hit, right down to the final tune.
