Colors Riddim Part 2 finds Nyce Nation Records back in that sharp 2019 dancehall pocket, with Mr Renzo leading the way on the bilingual “Stick Out Your Tongue” and “La Lengua, ” while Minky-Renee’s “Squeezin” and Brutal and S. Carter’s “Soak In” keep the set moving with the kind of cheeky, street-level energy that suits the title. The production has a lean, buoyant swing rather than a heavy bashment stomp, and the “raw” versions tucked in beside the main cuts make the whole thing feel like a proper working session rather than a padded package. K-Lion’s “Siddung (Freestyle)” closes it out with a looser, freestyle bite, and the release runs seven tracks deep with five artists in the lineup.
