Get It Riddim (2011) – Grabba Entertainment

By 2011, dancehall was deep into the era of lean, club-minded riddims that left plenty of room for the voice to carry the hook, and Get It Riddim fits that moment neatly. Grabba Entertainment keeps the arrangement stripped and direct, with a sparse digital pulse, clipped drum programming and a low, repeating bassline that does the heavy lifting underneath just four cuts. Grabba’s “Gal Fi Get It” featuring Qurious is the obvious centerpiece, with Shane P’s “Bun Bad Mind” pushing the tougher side of the rhythm, while Spoon’s “Clean” flips the mood into something sharper and more playful. Even the version cut is left in, which tells you this was meant to work as a proper selector’s tool rather than a padded compilation. The tempo stays mid-paced and steady throughout, leaving the track’s hook space and the bass line to do the talking.
