GAZA FEDERATION RIDDIM produced by BLAKSPADE RECORDS 2012
Gaza Federation Overview
In 2012, a new dancehall set began to take shape inside a small Kingston studio. BLAKSPADE RECORDS, a label known for its bold sound and close links to the street, gathered a team determined to make a lasting impact. At the center of the studio, the mixing board king worked his magic, blending heavy bass with crisp snares and sharp melodies. Every knob turned and fader moved added a new layer to the riddim, giving it the raw energy needed for sound clashes and dancehall parties. BLAKSPADE RECORDS had already built a reputation for producing tracks that DJs loved. Their earlier releases had found their way into playlists across Jamaica and beyond, making the label a respected name among selectors and fans. This new project, the Gaza Federation Riddim, was designed to keep the dance moving, and it quickly became a favorite for its driving rhythm and infectious hooks. The artists chosen for the set brought their own fire. La Lewis And Lackhat teamed up for “We The Girl Dem Program,” a song that quickly became an anthem in the dance. Renegad delivered “Comfortable To,” adding his signature flow. La Lewis, already known for his unique voice and public persona, stepped up with “War Season.” Nuclear’s “Love Fi Di Gal Dem” added a smooth touch, while Dosa Medicine’s “Nuh Gi Mi Nuh Talk” rounded out the collection with streetwise lyrics. The set’s arrival marked a moment in dancehall.
