2014 was still deep in the era when dancehall riddims could carry heavyweight names and keep the mix lean, and Fuse Riddim does exactly that with just four cuts from Star Music. Bounty Killer’s “Winner” sets the tone with that hard-edged, no-nonsense energy he was still leaning on so effectively in the 2010s, while Beenie Man and Omari’s “Love and Peace” brings a lighter, more singalong swing to the project. Determine’s “Bad People” keeps the pressure on, and “Gallis (Pt 2)” from Jah Jah and Ashea closes things out with a cheekier party pull.
