Fully Loaded Riddim – Digitalize

2013 was deep in the era when digital dancehall was leaning hard into clean, skittering drums and thick low-end pressure, and Digitalize’s Fully Loaded Riddim sits right in that pocket. The set is a compact five-track release with Digital Sham on “Middle Day, ” Kos Bella on “Try Summi, ” Ojay’s “Who To Trust, ” and Strakle Ice on “Saga, ” plus the version cut that lets the rhythm breathe on its own. Nothing here is overloaded for effect; the production keeps the percussion crisp, the bassline heavy but uncluttered, and the whole thing moves at a mid-tempo pace that leaves space for the deejays to ride the pocket. Digital Sham’s cut has the sharpest edge, but the real pull is the way the riddim holds its shape across each vocal, from clipped phrasing to the final instrumental version.
