Fuego Overview

The Fuego Riddim fete mix first made its mark during the 2019 carnival season in the Caribbean. DJs across the islands played the mix at big events, and it quickly became a favorite. The energy of the tracks made DJs want to reload the songs, giving the crowd more of what they loved. The mix brought together several standout artists. Motto’s “Man With Ride” was a highlight, showing why he is known for bringing fresh sounds to soca. Motto is also recognized for his hit “Party Lit,” which helped him gain attention in the soca world. Kiedel & Arthur Allain teamed up for “Sa A Wed.” Arthur Allain is a respected name in St. Lucia, and he has won the Groovy Soca Monarch title multiple times, making this collaboration a strong part of the mix. Mata & Miigos delivered “No Story,” adding their own style to the riddim. Sly’s “Mix Up” kept the pace lively, while Blackboy’s “Touch Pon Di Floor” brought even more energy to the dance. Other songs like DJ Fire Strypzz’s “Pretty Kitty,” Prospere’s “Position,” Hitmaker’s “Lumba,” and Team Foxx’s “Fuego Riddim” added variety and kept the vibe moving. The carnival director played a key role in selecting tracks that would keep the trucks moving and the crowd hyped. The riddim was produced by Lashley “Motto” Winter, who is well-known for his work in soca production.
