Frog Riddim – Acid Records

Frog Riddim is a rare 1996 dancehall release from Acid Records, carried by just two cuts: Mr. Peck’s Columbus and the instrumental Frog Riddim itself. The title sits on the later Acid version of the well-known Frog riddim family, with Ralston Barrett credited on the track listing and Acid handling the production. It’s a very compact outing, but that lean format makes it a clear snapshot of mid-’90s bashment from a smaller label, with Columbus giving the riddim its only vocal showcase and the bare instrumental round it out.
