Blu-Flame Music’s Fila Riddim comes in leaner and rougher than a lot of the producer’s later output, with only two vocal cuts and two instrumentals keeping the whole thing tight. The beat has that hard-edged, street-level dancehall snap rather than anything glossy, and Bel’s “Justin Beiber-Man” and Delly Ranx’s “King Inna the Palace” both ride it with clipped, to-the-point energy. Delly Ranx is the name that gives the project a little extra weight, but the real story here is the riddim itself: short, mean, and built to move quickly. Ending with two versions of the instrumental, Blu-Flame Music leaves the pattern open for selectors and deejays, and the Ver 2 cut feels like the cleaner showcase of the groove.
