Far West Riddim (2013) – Positive Vibz Productions

Far West Riddim comes in ragged and multilingual, a 22-track dancehall set from Positive Vibz Productions that feels less like a neat showcase and more like a crossroads session. The roster stretches across Spanish, English and patois, with voices like Pipoti, Ki-N-S Sound, Rapsoda y La Jose, and Green Valley moving through militant chant, party flex and conscience talk over the same rough-edged rhythm. Positive Vibz had already set the riddim out in 2012, and by the time this 2013 run landed, the project had grown into a proper international calling card. The sharper turns come from the Spanish-language cuts, but the closing Green Valley and Shinji link-up on “Friend” leaves the cleanest mark, with the version and selector mix tucked in behind it to seal the whole thing.
