Family Buss Riddim finds Unity Sound Worldwide leaning into a clean, modern reggae groove with just enough bounce to keep the singers floating over it, and the lineup gives it a nice spread of voices without overcrowding the tune. Delly Ranx comes in sharp on “Bun It, ” Gappy Ranks rides the groove with “Don Gargon, ” and Ginjah’s “Mighty Jah Jah” brings the spiritual center, while Takuto and Zagga round out the set with more reflective cuts like “Born To Be Free” and “Good Vibes Only. ” This was Unity Sound Worldwide’s first production when DJ Crossfire launched the label in 2018, after years of moving between Atlanta and Japan and cutting his teeth as a selector and radio man.
