Duffle Dem Riddim – Livewyah Records

Livewyah Records was already moving in a more street-level, trap-leaning dancehall direction by 2021, and Duffle Dem Riddim sits right in that pocket rather than chasing a glossy festival sound. The nine-cut set runs through voices from Alex Mobsta and Chriso to Kwési, Ranico 197 and the Headly/Drip Gad combo on “Chappa Money, ” with LiveWyah closing the loop on the instrumental. The production keeps things tense and lean: clipped drums, a hard, marching bass line, and enough open space for the hooks to hit clean. “Tooley” and “Ez Murda” carry that dark, money-talk energy especially well, while “Money Bath” and “Pay Yuh” lean into the same grimy pocket without overcomplicating it. At just under half an hour, the riddim holds its pace steady and lets the vocals ride a mid-tempo pull with a cold, stripped-down bounce.
