Dreams Riddim (2014) – Lockecity Music Group

Dreams Riddim has that tight, three-artist setup that feels more focused than flashy, with Lockecity Music Group keeping the rhythm lean and clipped for Artikal, Gage and New Kidz to work off. Gage’s “Again And Again” is the obvious anchor here, especially with the clean and raw versions sitting back to back, while Artikal’s “Real Friends” adds a sharper, more reflective edge to the juggling. Lockecity were already building a reputation in the mid-2010s for crisp, bass-heavy dancehall with a clean sound-system finish, and you can hear that discipline in the way this one leaves space for each vocal to hit. It’s a quick five-track set, but the pacing gives it a neat little pull.
