Lion Twin’s Dread Riddim keeps the focus tight: seven voices, all circling the same roots-conscious dancehall cut. Jah Mender opens with the militant lift of Conquering, while Jahllano and Jalifa lean into chant-heavy praise and readiness, giving the project a steady spiritual edge rather than chasing straight party energy. King Mas cuts through with Shaky Hand Boy, but the whole set feels most at home when the delivery stays rugged and devotional, with Prince Of Judah’s Praises and Sista Efa’s Jah Is There carrying that tone deep into the final stretch. Lion Twin put this out in 2017 as a compact studio project, and the tracklist keeps the emphasis on message and attitude rather than overcooking the arrangement. Sista Efa closes it on a clean, resolute note.
