Diseases Rebirth digs back into one of dancehall’s classic frameworks and gives it a 2013 refresh with a sharp, rootsy edge. Sajay Productions keeps the lineup lean and deliberate, with Bugle’s “Same Game, ” Iba Mahr’s “Set Away, ” Droop Lion’s “Rock Heart, ” Sizzla’s “Sekkle Dung, ” and Vybrant’s “Jah Jah” each getting two mixes before the instrumental version closes things out. The repetition of mix one and mix two points to a dub-wise presentation, letting the same songs ride the riddim in slightly different forms. The project was released in May 2013 and runs 11 tracks, including the version cut.
