The Dirty Desert Riddim project brought together some of dancehall’s most exciting voices in 2001. The riddim’s tracklist included Beenie Man — Fish, Granty Roots — War Around You, Lexxus — Come Fuss, Ryce Bitters — Get Near A Gal, Sizzla — Dirty Desert, and White Robins — Dirty Desert Rhythm Version. Each artist gave the rhythm a different flavor while keeping the core dancehall energy alive. Beenie Man, who performed Fish, is known worldwide for hits like "Who Am I (Sim Simma)" and has won a Grammy Award for Best Reggae Album. Granty Roots added War Around You, bringing his own style to the riddim. Lexxus, with Come Fuss, is recognized for his energetic delivery and has had several charting singles in Jamaica. Ryce Bitters offered Get Near A Gal, while Sizzla, the voice behind Dirty Desert, is famous for albums like "Da Real Thing" and is a respected figure in reggae and dancehall. The man behind the boards was WHITE RUBINS, who produced the riddim and shaped its sound. WHITE RUBINS is known for work with various reggae and dancehall labels and has produced several underground favorites.
