Over from the 2016 dancehall run, Delilah Riddim has that compact, local-crew feel: five cuts, no dead weight, and a sharp little lineup that leans on names like Cv L. N. J, Fusbaan L. N. J, Kkrytical, and the Xyclone and Star Cole pairing. The vibe sits in that tight, bassy pocket where the vocals do most of the lifting, and “Tell The Truth” feels like the track that really locks into the rhythm, especially with the radio and raw versions giving it a bit of extra mileage. Cv L. N. J’s “Slide It” and Kkrytical’s “Heaven” keep the set moving, while “Night Time” gives Fusbaan L. N. J a darker turn. Small release, sure, but it catches the kind of mid-2010s dancehall moment that still sounds lived-in.
