Produced by John John, Bang Bung arrived in June 2021 as a Busy Signal and Bounty Killer link-up that leaned straight into raw dancehall energy, with Warrior Films handling the visuals for the single’s rollout. The pairing brings together two of the genre’s most recognizable voices, and the track was first previewed as a Bounty Killer teaser before landing as part of his King of Kingston-era output. Built on a tough, throwback-minded riddim feel, Bang Bung has the kind of heavy drum-and-bass pressure that recalls John John’s classic dancehall catalogue while still sounding current for 2021.
