DA EAGLE RIDDIM produced by MASSIVE B 2010
Da Eagle Overview
Burro Banton, Junior Cat, Major Mackerel, Massive B, and Lexx all came together for a strong dancehall project in 2010. Burro Banton is well known for his hit “Boom Wah Dis,” which helped shape the sound of 1990s dancehall. Junior Cat is respected for his energetic style and has worked with top sound systems over the years. Major Mackerel is famous for his unique voice and classic tracks in the genre. Lexx brought his own flavor, while Massive B acted as the producer behind the scenes. The songs on this compilation include Burro Banton — No Lye Low, Junior Cat — Wah Dem A Do, Major Mackerel — Can'T Tek Selassie, Massive B — Da Eagle Riddim, and Lexx — Gucci Store. Each track shows the individual style of the artist but fits together on the same riddim, creating a true bashment flow. Massive B, run by Bobby Konders, has a long history in reggae and dancehall music. The label is known for producing popular riddims and working with many top artists. Their productions often get strong support in Jamaica and overseas, and some have reached millions of streams online. Back in 2010, fans heard these songs at night parties and dancehall events. The Da Eagle Riddim helped set the mood, with each artist adding their own energy. This bashment flow was a big part of dancehall’s sound that year, and the tracks still get played today.
