Cupcake Riddim – Icedrop

2022 dancehall came with Cupcake Riddim from Icedrop and Pharfar, a 22-track set that pulls in a wide mix of voices from Bittah Sosicka, Blae Minott, Breeza and Codiac through to Joseph Cotton, Lutan Fyah and Norris Man. The title cut from Pharfar sits alongside tougher selections like Lutan Fyah’s Chop and Go Through and Norrisman’s A To The K, giving the juggling a nice balance between party energy and rooted dancehall delivery. Released in March 2022 on Icedrop Records, the riddim also brings in a few lighter, playful turns from artists like Knaledge, Rasta Life and Yung Kev, which helps keep the whole project moving with plenty of variety.
