Cashflow Records cut Cross Roads Riddim in 2019 with a clean, modern roots-dancehall feel that sits comfortably between sung melodies and conscious chat. The instrumental has a steady, mid-tempo pulse, a warm bassline and enough space in the drums for each artist to ride it differently, which is part of the charm of a good juggling set. Cashflow had already built a reputation in the scene for work that moves between production, mixing and visual presentation, and this release extends that same hands-on imprint.

The lineup is strong and varied. Ce’Cile opens things with Glow Up, bringing her sharp, seasoned vocal tone to a song that feels uplifted and self-assured. I-Octane’s Cross Roads gives the riddim its title cut and the most obvious anchor, with his familiar blend of melody and uplift. Randy Valentine’s Can’t Let Babylon Get I Down suits the rhythm nicely, folding roots consciousness into a smoother, overseas-sounding delivery. Kiprich, Charly B and Lee Tafari each add their own color, while Nina Karle and Kaibanon push the project into a broader singer range.

Real Image’s Warrior and Survivor’s I’m A Winner keep the message upward, matching the riddim’s determined mood. The instrumental version closes the set out cleanly and lets the production breathe on its own. Cross Roads works because it has enough bounce for dancehall listeners, but enough patience and space for roots-minded singers to stretch out.
