Contemplation Riddim – Sting G Music

Contemplation Riddim has that spare, reflective reggae feel implied by its name, but Sting G Music keeps it moving with just three cuts and no wasted motion. The 2013 set pairs J-Don’s “Waah See Me Dead” and Quikk Silva’s “We Gonna Make It” around Sting G’s instrumental, which gives the project a tight, almost demo-like shape. Sting G, credited here as producer, was already running his own imprint under the Sting G Music banner at that point. With only two vocal tracks and the riddim version closing things out, the sequencing feels deliberate, like the producer wanted the songs to land first and the instrumental to hang in the air after them.
