Conquest Paradise Riddim – Damage Musiq

Damage Musiq’s Conquest Paradise Riddim landed in early 2019 as a hard-edged dancehall juggling with a spiritual streak running through the titles. The project is anchored by Blessings from Tommy Lee Sparta and Bless Me from Chronic Law, two voices that gave the riddim its biggest pull, while Shane O’s Hold On, Tamo J’s Victory, Singer J’s Prayer and Gott Yo’s I Promise fill out the set with different shades of uplift and survival.

The instrumental has a tense, marching feel, with a stark bassline and a clipped, militant bounce that leaves plenty of room for the artists to cut through. It sits in that late-2010s lane where darker dancehall production was often paired with songs about struggle, self-belief and divine protection.
