CONQUERA RIDDIM produced by TRAINLINE RECORDS 2014
Conquera Overview
Back in 2014, a new reggae riddim started making waves among roots fans. This was the Conquera Riddim, built and released by TRAINLINE RECORDS. The label, known for its strong roots productions, had already been making a name in the reggae world for working with both new and classic artists. They always focused on quality, and with Conquera Riddim, they wanted to create something that felt fresh but true to the roots sound. The journey began in the studio, with the team at TRAINLINE RECORDS crafting a riddim that was heavy on percussion and full of conscious energy. The riddim had a smooth, island vibe, but it carried a message too. It was the kind of sound that made you want to listen closely. Once the riddim was ready, they reached out to a select group of artists. Fyakin came in strong with “I’M A Conquera,” bringing his signature style. Ghandi added “Struggle,” a song that fit perfectly with the conscious mood. Glen Washington, known for hits like “Kindness For Weakness,” gave the riddim a spiritual touch with “God Of Our Fathers.” Little Hero, who made a mark with his song “God Alone,” delivered “Mamma,” a heartfelt tribute. Menny More completed the line-up with “Broken Hearts,” adding another layer to the project. When Conquera Riddim dropped, roots fans noticed right away. The riddim’s conscious sound and the powerful voices on it made it stand out. Even now, people look back at 2014 and remember this release as a highlight for modern roots reggae.
