Code Riddim – Snazz 1

Pinchers is the first name that catches the ear here, and his “Code” gives Snazz 1’s Code Riddim an immediate veteran pull before the set opens out into Comanche Sound, Macka Beard, Cleva Criss, and the producer himself. The whole juggling sits in that crisp, code-word dancehall pocket where sharp titles and quick-fire delivery do a lot of the talking, and Snazz 1’s own cuts, “T. W. A. M. G” and “Shell Di Bar, ” feel like they’re tuned to the same rhythmic grid as Pinchers’ opener rather than trying to overpower it. Milton Keize closes with “Code Riddim, ” a neat final nod from a compact eight-track run that keeps the energy tight and the names memorable, right down to the instrumental-style finish.
