The carnival director played a big role in shaping the sound of this year’s festival season. Their vision brought together top talent and set the stage for the most exciting soca releases of 2024. At the heart of the celebrations was Monk Music, a respected producer and label in the soca world. Monk Music has a history of working with major artists and has helped bring soca to wider audiences. Known for their crisp production and energetic beats, Monk Music once again delivered a standout riddim that captured the spirit of Carnival. The Chocolate Factory Riddim became a festival favorite, thanks to the work of artists who know how to keep the party going. Machel Montano, Jonny Blaze & Stadic released “Bumpa,” a track that quickly became a crowd anthem. Machel Montano is one of the most recognized names in soca, with a career that includes multiple Road March titles and international collaborations. His energy on “Bumpa” matched the excitement of the season. Olatunji, Jonny Blaze & Stadic contributed “Chocolate,” a song that showcased Olatunji’s signature style. Olatunji is known for his hit “Ola” and for winning the International Soca Monarch title in 2015. His unique voice added a fresh twist to the riddim. Azaryah, Jonny Blaze & Stadic also joined the project with “Somebody.” Azaryah, formerly known as Flipo, is known for his hit “Watch Over Me.” Together, these songs made the Chocolate Factory Riddim a key anthem for soca in 2024, bringing island vibes straight into every fête.
