“Certified Riddim” rides a bright, mid-pace soca groove with enough snap in the drums to keep it moving without ever feeling rushed. 4th Dimension Productions keeps the arrangement tight and clean, so the voices cut through nicely, from Anthony KD’s blunt “Pressing” and Cloud 5’s cheekier “2 Things I Doh Like” to Major Dickson’s “Way Lah Way Lah, ” which leans into the playful side of the set. Muddy and Slätta add their own flavor with “Culprit” and “Jab Wayz, ” giving the riddim a mix of streetwise swagger and Carnival-ready bounce. Released in February 2018, it fits neatly into that wave of lean, hook-driven soca projects that were made to work both on the road and in the mix.
