2011 was a busy stretch for Spanish-speaking dancehall, and Cenizas Riddim sits right in that pocket with a compact four-song run that keeps the focus on the groove rather than any big-name billing. The riddim has a dry, hard-edged pulse that leaves plenty of room for the vocals, and Dubosky’s “Falta Otro Fren” and El Boys C’s “Por El Barrio” lean into street-level toughness without crowding the beat. Karims’ “Jah Bless” adds a more reflective note, but the whole sequence stays stripped down and direct, with Murder Cat’s “Desde El Cielo” closing it out on a more soulful, airy turn that softens the rougher energy before the instrumental fades from view.
