Celebration Riddim – Deemus Productionz

2015 was a busy year for straight-up party riddims, and Deemus Productionz dropped Celebration into that lane with a lively, liquor-soaked swing that keeps the energy high without getting too manic. Beenie Man’s “Step Ina Di Party, ” Konshens’ “Show Mi Di Rum, ” and Sizzla’s “Lion Roar” do a lot of the heavy lifting, but the charm here is how the riddim gives each voice enough room to chase a different side of the same nightclub mood. Laza Morgan’s “Dancing” and Shampane’s “Trick Me” lean the set toward singalong bounce, while the title cut closes things out cleanly and ties the whole project back to the instrumental. Clocking in at 12 tracks and released in March 2015, it’s a neat snapshot of mid-2010s dancehall party culture.
