Cauziters Riddim – Proppa Way Production

Out of Trinidad’s 2017 soca season, Cauziters Riddim feels like one of those compact little sets that catches the ears by moving fast and keeping the energy bright. Proppa Way Production keeps the focus tight across six cuts, and the strongest link is the contrast between Boogie Bling’s cheeky “So Sick” and Candle’s “Doh Panic, ” with Lil Natty, DJ Moss and DJ Taz pushing “Call It George” into sharper party territory. Slacky even turns up twice, once on the instrumental and again on “No Ease, ” which gives the riddim a slightly backroom, producer-led feel rather than a polished big-band splash. “Jab in the Morning” from Tonick adds that early-morning road heat, too, and the whole thing lands in just about twenty minutes, quick and to the point.
