By 2011, Jus Eazy Production had this Bushy Bushy set sitting in the middle of dancehall’s quick-turn juggling culture, and it keeps the focus on bite-sized cuts rather than any one grand anthem. The riddim has that lean, rough-edged pulse you’d expect from the era, with Anarahk’s “Whine When Yu See Me, ” Icecold’s “Get Yu Ride On, ” and Richie Loop’s “Freak Fi Di Night” each riding the groove in their own way without crowding it. Kid Kurrup and 7 Plat’s “Hennessy A Buss Inna Mi Head” comes in both clean and raw versions, which says plenty about the room this project was made for. Jus Eazy even closes the package with the instrumental version of “Bushy Bushy Riddim, ” and that final cut leaves the whole thing feeling like a proper selector’s tool.
