Boom Riddim – Ricky Blaze

By 2017, Ricky Blaze had already carved out a lane for sleek, modern dancehall production, and Boom Riddim sits neatly in that catalogue with a compact four-song vocal set plus the instrumental. Cecile’s “Indie Gyal” sets the tone, with Mr Easy’s “One Man” and Mr Lexx’s “More Than You” keeping the energy locked in around a clipped, digital pulse. Majah Hype aka Mitzy’s “Set Trend Round Here” adds a bit of cheek and attitude, which suits the riddim’s brisk, no-nonsense cut.
