Bloodfire Riddim – Trackhouse Records

Trackhouse Records kept Bloodfire Riddim lean and pointed in 2013, and that’s part of its charm: just three cuts, each one landing with a different angle on roots reggae’s tougher edge. Lutan Fyah’s “Diss The Program” is the tune that jumps out first, carrying the kind of militant, conscience-heavy pressure he’s long been known for, while Bridgez brings a more tender note on “Mother’s Cry” and Nymron closes things out with the blunt, ganja-forward “We Smoke Weed Hard. ” It’s a short run, but the order feels intentional, moving from social fire to personal pain to herb talk without wasting a step. The sequence gives the riddim a tidy arc, like Trackhouse wanted every song to hit its own corner before the whole thing disappears.
