Evidence Music’s Blackbeard Riddim arrived in 2023 from the Geneva-based label founded by Derrick Sound and Little Lion Sound, a crew that has spent years pairing roots-minded reggae with contemporary dancehall polish. The label’s catalogue runs deep, and this one sits comfortably in that lane: modern, digital-minded, and aimed squarely at selectors who like their rhythms clean and open enough for strong voices to cut through.

The riddim is voiced by Chezidek, King Lorenzo, and Ranking Joe. Chezidek, the Jamaican roots singer who broke internationally with “Can’t Hear Must Feel” and later built a reputation on conscious, meditative songs, sounds right at home here.
