Birds Eye Riddim – Cyclone Entertainment

Coming out of Cyclone Entertainment’s 2011 run, Birds Eye Riddim leans into a clean reggae one-drop with a warm, midtempo feel and a neat spread of voices across the set. Ce’Cile’s “I Got A Man” and Pressure’s “All I Want” give the project its strongest pull, while Raquel Oliver, Jah Bami and Ricardo Clarke keep the mood moving through songs about love, desire and tension. The lineup stretches to nine cuts, closing on the instrumental version of the riddim itself, which helps the whole thing play like a proper producer package rather than just a stack of singles. It was released on July 6, 2011.
