Gurru Records Entertainment keeps the Beverly Hills Riddim tight and lean, with six cuts from Azhid, Dre Zee, Gavin feat. Styles, Mega Watt, Tristan and Young Frass all running on a short 2019 dancehall rhythm that clocks in at just under 17 minutes. The title suits the mood: glossy on the surface, but the production has a stripped, bass-forward snap that leaves room for the voices to do the talking. Young Frass’s “Braff” and Mega Watt’s “Clean An Bad” bring the sharpest attitude, while Gavin and Styles add a more playful turn on “Every Weekend. ” Coming from the same Gurru camp that also issued the digital EP in April 2019, this one sits comfortably in that producer’s catalogue of compact, club-ready one-riddim sets.
