Belt Overview

In 2010, the Belt Riddim arrived as a fresh force in reggae. The journey began with a vision from the sound architect, who shaped the riddim’s warm, rolling groove. Gt Music Productions, known for their roots reggae releases and careful production style, took the project forward. The label had already made a mark in the reggae scene, supporting conscious music and working with established and rising voices. Once the riddim was ready, a group of talented artists joined in. Admiral Tibett, respected for his classic track “Serious Time,” brought his distinct voice to “Reggae Music.” Bescenta, known for his uplifting lyrics, delivered “Give Jah The Praise.” Chuck Fenda, whose song “Gash Dem” was a major hit in Jamaica, offered the powerful “Warn Dem.” I Octane, who would soon see chart success with “Lose A Friend,” contributed the reflective “Greedyness.” Kali Blaxx added his style with “Why U Stay.” Other voices completed the release. Live Wya shared “Be Myself,” Mikeylous sang “God Is For Us,” and Villa Dutch & Feekez teamed up for “Enimes.” Each artist brought their own message, matching the riddim’s conscious spirit. The Belt Riddim captured the feeling of its time, blending positive lyrics and lively rhythms.
